I'm a Master of Information Management and Systems (MIMS) student at UC Berkeley.

Before joining UC Berkeley, I worked +7 years as a product manager and UX researcher for SK Telecom (Korea's #1 telecom operator with 24.7M), NAVER LABS, Noom, and the Seoul National University UX Lab.

Professional Experience

Product Manager & UX Researcher, SK Telecom (Korea's #1 telecom operator with 24.7M+ ), Jul. 2018 - Aug. 2024
- Led the launch of two RCS business messaging plans and policy updates, driving cross-functional collaboration with Samsung on messaging format and negotiated policy alignment with other telecoms. These were the first plans launched since 2018 in the B2B line, which accounts for over 30% of revenue.
- Conducted a thorough analysis of 40 years of legacy product policies to design user-centered features for a personalized ML-based recommendation system.
- Simplified the sign-up process by implementing a mobile phone number ID policy, resulting in 80% of new users registering with their phone numbers in the first month.
- Designed and conducted beta tests and FGI sessions to gain insights, which were used to develop an AI-powered spam filter for the 'Chatting+' PC app, while considering long-term product strategy and legal compliance.
- Spearheaded the launch of an e-commerce platform integrating SKT products with third-party services by closely collaborating with engineering and sales teams to deliver on-time despite limited resources.

Product Management Intern, NAVER LABS,
Mar. 2018 – Jun. 2018
-Developed AR map feature specifications by gathering qualitative insights through Think Aloud and A/B testing with the product’s target demographic in their early 20s.
- Proposed college-focused map app features to the NAVER Map business team, including a 'minimum transfer search' feature, based on insights from user interviews.

UX Research Intern, Noom, Aug. 2017 – Dec. 2017
- Identified key differences in "group chat" expectations between US based and Korean users by analyzing user logs and in-depth interviews, making recommendations for Korean program localization and launch.
- Reviewed and translated psychology-based weight loss content from English to Korean.

Undergraduate Research Assistant, Seoul National University UX Lab,May. 2017 - Aug. 2017
- Designed and conducted an experiment in a simulated environment to establish guidelines for vocal interaction between navigation AI and drivers.
- Collected and analyzed speech data to define intent and object recognition criteria, and conducted user testing to integrate AI conversations into the navigation app.
